John – it's Abby. March is Women's History Month, and I want to talk to you about a deeply personal issue that affects me and millions of other women. I need just a minute to explain, and I'm also counting on your signature for my petition demanding equitable healthcare for women.

I've been living with endometriosis since I was a teen. I’m far from alone: in my research, I learned that endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women. Even though there is no known cure, it was one of the conditions which received the least amount of federal funding.
That's why I shared my story and fought to double federal funding for endometriosis research. While I served in the U.S. House, I founded the House Endometriosis Caucus, worked across the aisle to raise awareness and doubled funding for endometriosis research.
At times, my experience with endometriosis has been challenging. However, I was fortunate to have been diagnosed at a young age, to have a mom who believed me when I said I was in pain and to have had good healthcare from my dad's union job. So many women aren't as lucky.
All of this is true for women's health at large: women deserve affordable and equitable healthcare. We deserve federal investment in our health. We deserve space to talk about our health. And we deserve to be believed. I'm committed to fighting for women's health and winning equitable care for all of us – and I promise to bring this fight to the U.S. Senate.
But if there's one thing that I've learned through all this, it's that you'll never accomplish real change alone. So please, if you're with me to fight for women's health, can you add your name to my petition to demand equitable healthcare for women?
