Over a year ago, Lucas Kunce penned an op-ed in The American Prospect titled "The National-Security Case for Decarbonization" that foretold what is now obvious: Our dependence on fossil fuel empowers dictators like Vladimir Putin, foreign petrostates, and price-gouging oil companies -- and we must take immediate action to invest in clean energy and end our dependence on fossil fuel.
Lucas has also been a leader in the push to ban members of Congress from owning stock.
When Lucas launched his campaign, the Huffington Post reported "Marine Veteran Launches Missouri Senate Bid After Roy Blunt Retirement" and called Lucas Kunce "a crusader against corporate consolidation."
Lucas has led all Democratic and Republican candidates in fundraising and has become a fixture on MSNBC, using his veteran cred to point out that Joe Manchin supported trillions in military build up abroad while obstructing child care, lower-price prescriptions, and keeping millions of kids out of poverty here at home.
