We wanted to take a moment to wish all Nebraskans a fun and safe St. Patrick’s Day 2022!

For over 1,000 years in Ireland, and for hundreds of years around the world, March 17th has been celebrated as the Feast of Saint Patrick. It marks the traditional anniversary of the death of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.

Here in Nebraska, we have an incredibly rich Irish history. In fact, our state is home to 246,000 folks with Irish heritage...over 13% of our population!

St. Patrick’s Day is a religious AND cultural holiday, that we’ve embraced as Americans from all faiths and backgrounds. And we enjoy thousands of celebrations across our great country.
