Dear John,

Last night I introduced Beto O'Rourke at a Town Hall in Austin as part of his People of Texas tour. The recreation center was standing room only and the crowd was fired up.

I wanted to tell people about the Beto I know. When we fought voter suppression bills, Beto was always there to ask what we needed and then find solutions to the problem. That's what Texans deserve from their leaders, not pandering to extreme partisan priorities.

Texas deserves better, but it's up to us to bring about change.

We're building a grassroots movement locally, in Williamson County, and across Texas for a bigger, bolder Texas that lives up to its promise. Will you join us?

As Beto reminded us last night, we will decided the future, the fortune, and the fate of Texas. The calvary is not coming because we are the calvary. And we have every tool and tactic we need to succeed.

Imagine having leaders who give a damn.

Imagine a Texas where we focus on strong public schools, access to healthcare, and good jobs, instead of petty partisan priorities.

Imagine a government that puts people over profit, meets the problems of today with solutions for tomorrow, and answers fear and anger with hope and compassion.

This future is within our grasp, it is ours to create. Together, we can build our community up and make Texas as good as its promise.
