John, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw just how important Medicaid expansion and the Affordable Care Act were to hardworking Georgians and to folks across the country. Right now, there are over 1.9 million Georgians who rely on Medicaid for their healthcare coverage.
When the Affordable Care Act was introduced in 2010, Georgia had an uninsured rate of 19.5%. Now? It’s dropped to 13.7% since the ACA became law.
But we’ve still got a whole lot of work to do to provide health care coverage for all Georgians. Hundreds of thousands of low-income Georgians don’t qualify for Medicaid or financial help to buy private insurance. We NEED to continue to expand coverage to make sure every single Georgian has access to quality health care.
We want to know – what are your health care priorities, and do you agree that we need to continue to expand coverage?

The Republican Party has made gutting health care access their priority – and their plan if they retake the Senate is to get rid of the Affordable Care Act entirely, despite how important access to affordable health care has been, especially during a pandemic.
We believe the Republican Party’s radical views on health care are wrong for our country, and we need to know: do you agree? What are your health care priorities?

We’re looking forward to reading your responses.
