Saint Thomas Choir School
Saint Thomas Choir School, New York, announces spring auditions for boys entering grades three through six in the fall of 2022. The admission process includes a vocal evaluation, academic testing, and an overnight visit to the Choir School.

Founded in 1919, Saint Thomas Choir School exists to house, nurture, and educate the boy choristers of the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys. It is one of very few schools in the world that continues this unique tradition, serving a select group of approximately 30 boys in grades three through eight. The choristers live, study, play sports, and rehearse together forming a community of learning and service as they join the professional men of the choir in singing five weekly services at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue.

In addition to the services, which are webcast live, the choir performs in the concert series of Saint Thomas Church, produces recordings, and undertakes domestic and international tours. Appearances have included an array of venues including travel to Germany to sing the annual service of remembrance at the Dresden Staatskapelle and the Leipzig BachFest at the Thomaskirche. The choir has sung in numerous English cathedrals and the Aldeburgh Festival. They have also walked down the street to sing with Sting at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting and enjoy other radio and television performances.

The school’s size and outstanding resident faculty give each boy a remarkable opportunity to flourish as well as prepare him for high school and the years beyond. The cultural opportunities of Manhattan, a superlative education, and Central Park as their backyard combine to make this the opportunity of a lifetime.

The Choir School is committed to admitting talented boys without regard to religious, economic, or social background. Generous financial aid is available to all successful applicants.
