Friend,

Why are The 147 trying to tell Vladimir Putin’s big lie for him?

In a desperate attempt to justify their stalling invasion of Ukraine, Russia recently went to the U.N. to accuse the United States of developing chemical weapons in Ukrainian laboratories. There is no evidence to support these claims, and they have been rejected by multiple international chemical weapon watchdog organizations and even the U.N. itself.

It’s not surprising that a seasoned propagandist like Putin would lash out at the United States with spurious accusations in an attempt to save face. What’s strange is how The 147 and their allies are amplifying this anti-American propaganda at home.

Senator Marco Rubio opened the door for alt-right media outlets to adopt Putin’s talking points when he grilled U.S. Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland about the conspiracy theory in the Senate. She forcefully denied the allegation, but Steven Bannon and Tucker Carlson didn’t skip a beat in spinning Nuland’s answers against her. Just yesterday, Marjorie Taylor Greene not only bolstered the conspiracy theory but attempted to jumble it up with her own COVID conspiracies as well.

Attempting to undermine United States foreign policy to score cheap political points (like Madison Cawthorn has) is bad enough. But what Rubio, Greene, and the alt-right media have done is far worse: they’re accusing the United States military of being biological terrorists.

Why?

We need answers, but we need to defend the House in the November midterms to get them. Donate to our Congressional Victory Fund, and let’s get rid of these traitors once and for all.
