Few people did more to promote Donald Trump’s lies about voter fraud in the 2020 election than Mark Meadows, Trump’s chief of staff. Now it appears that Meadows’ participation in this effort was not just dishonest – it was also ripe with hypocrisy.
The New York Times reports that – as Meadows was leading the president’s staff in the West Wing and falsely suggesting that Joe Biden’s victory was fraudulent – Meadows was registered to vote from a mobile home in battleground North Carolina where there is no evidence he ever even spent the night, let alone lived.
The blatant hypocrisy of Trump and his cronies knows no bounds. It is critical to our democracy that Trump never sets foot in the Oval Office again – but the only sure way to prevent that is to hold him and his allies accountable for their wrongdoing. That’s why I’m looking for 2,000 more members of this team to join me in speaking out to demand accountability before midnight tonight, and I hope I can count on you to make your voice heard:
