Hi John,

For far too long, many of our elected officials in the U.S. have spewed vitriol about Iranians, and by extension Iranian Americans, to justify discriminatory, inhumane, and pro-war policies. Here’s what some senior U.S. Senators have said:

Nilofar at the U.S. CapitolThe fact that our own elected officials can casually degrade Iranians and Iranian Americans is exactly what is wrong with our Iran debate in America. That’s why NIAC recently launched our Iranian American Rights Project and is fighting back against these attacks. Last week, our team organized an open-letter to hold Senator Risch accountable for his most recent racist comments. Powerful organizations like JStreet, Win Without War, and the Iranian American Bar Association immediately stood with us by signing on to this letter because this kind of blatant bigotry should not go unnoticed, nor should it ever be tolerated.

Today, we delivered those petition signatures to Senator Risch's office - totalling nearly 10,000 names.
NIAC will always be there to fight for the Iranian-American community. But none of this is possible without your support. Chip in so we can continue to hold our elected officials accountable.

Fight Back

Thank you John. Together, we can stand up for the rights of Iranian Americans.

Jamal Abdi
President, NIAC
