Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight is clear: Democracy is on the ballot in Georgia.

In a recent article about the Trumpist assault on democracy, top election analysts at Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight identified Georgia as one of the key battleground states for protecting the right to vote in 2022.

Republicans are in the middle of a contentious primary between the current Secretary of State – who has been working to suppress voting across Georgia – and a Trump conspiracy theory-backing extremist, called one of the nation’s preeminent election deniers, who will work to not just suppress voting rights, but to hand the next election to Donald Trump.
