Until every veteran has an ID...

If you’ve kept up with the news the past few weeks, you understand what an upsetting time it is in the world. Throughout history, we’ve often counted on the people serving in our military to keep us safe and secure. Unfortunately, there are many veterans, like so many other Americans, who are living without access to food assistance, housing, and other vital safety net programs because they are missing government-issued photo ID. In fact, without one, veterans can't even get a VA card. 

Hines is a Vietnam veteran in his 70s who didn’t have the resources to replace and update his ID. Thanks to the work of our affiliated 501(c)(3), Project ID + Spread The Vote, Hines now has what he needs to make a fresh start. But how many other veterans like him are going without? 

Here at Project ID Action Fund, we believe that situations like this are unacceptable. That’s why we're working with state legislatures to provide #FreeIDsForVets. If you're as passionate about this issue as we are, you can call or write your state legislators. We'd also love to connect with veterans' advocacy groups.
