Friend,

Big Polluters are trying to capitalize on Putin's stunning, unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by spreading lies. Here's the simple truth: A key way to weaken oil-rich autocrats like Vladimir Putin is by investing in cheap, clean, reliable energy produced right here in the U.S.

Rep. Sean Casten agrees—that's why he's joining us to fight back against disinformation and demand we prevent future wars, protect national security, and lower energy costs by investing in clean energy ASAP. And your representatives need to hear it from you.

There's a lot of misinformation out there about Russia, fossil fuels, and energy costs. So let's set the record straight:

Will more oil and gas drilling in the U.S. help us depend less on Russia in the long term? No.

What about just in the short term? No.

And anyone who is suggesting otherwise is, well, lying to you.

Investing more in fossil fuels means buying into a volatile global energy economy on which Russia exerts huge influence, no matter where the oil comes from. The only way to lessen Putin's influence is by transitioning away from the source of his petro-state power.

And thanks to climate leaders like Rep. Casten, Congress has already done a lot of the work. The House passed $555 billion over four months ago. Every Democrat in the Senate is ready to negotiate these climate investments. It's time to get these funds out to our communities so we can undercut petro-dictators like Putin.

That's why it's imperative that you take action right now. Call your representatives to make sure they hear our message loud and clear.
