The 2022 Legislative Session is complete! We lost some tough votes, but even outnumbered 78-42, we remarkably had some big wins defeating bad legislation too.
We lost some high profile red meat partisan votes like the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, the new 15-week abortion ban that has no exceptions for rape or incest, and some downright petty bills like the “Stop WOKE” act pushed by the Governor.
But - we DID succeed in making many bad bills much better! From the attack on rooftop solar, a $200 million dollar attack on our local school teachers, or untold more, many pieces of bad legislation were defeated or watered down until they were little more than shells of their former selves and talking points for the Governor.
I couldn’t have done any of it without YOU helping get me here! It’s been the honor of a lifetime representing you these last two years. I’ve loved every minute of it and I hope to continue to serve in the years ahead. After all, we’re still just getting started!
