PowerPAC is as happy as you are about the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States. In the 232 year existence of the Supreme Court, only five women have been nominated to take a seat — and Judge Jackson is the first Black woman.
On March 21st, her historic confirmation hearing will begin. Let’s take this week to reflect on the enormity of this event and commit to making sure that she is not the last.
Your support helps us make sure that girls, like the next Ketanji, are guaranteed fair and equal access to the doors of opportunity — and that they get to dream about all they can become.
We must make sure that we continue building strong coalitions that support long-term victories like this. Help us keep fighting so that the next Ketanji Brown Jackson and the next and the next have the resources they deserve to rise.
We are ever grateful for women like Judge Jackson for paving a road more challenging than most can imagine. Being the first is never easy. So let’s all raise a toast to her tonight and promise to keep on fighting.
