Dear Friend,
I recently met Ana at a border crossing to Poland. Ana, aged 47, is one of millions of refugees who have left everything they know and nearly everything they own behind. Ana was forced to flee by terrifying violence and bombings around her home in southeastern Ukraine:
"When at night you hear helicopters flying over your house, you don't know what exactly it is, an enemy projectile or a Ukrainian helicopter. It's so scary... At the moment I fear that my house will be destroyed by projectiles, that the buildings in our city will be demolished to the ground."
Project HOPE's teams are on the ground right now in Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine working to help refugees like Ana. From delivering critical medicines and surgical supplies to scaling up mental health support, we are working around the clock to help protect the health of children and families threatened by this violence. Will you give today to help provide safety and care to people at risk in Ukraine and across the world?

"My good friend can't leave. Her mother is paralyzed, she has a small child... My friend calls me and cries. These are the tears of the elderly, the tears of children."

When we spoke to Ana she was leaving temporary housing at the border because it was overwhelmed with new arrivals of people searching for safety from the violence. A continued conflict in Ukraine could lead to 10 million people being displaced -- a staggering number that would make it one of the largest humanitarian crises on earth. Please rush your gift to help children and families in desperate need of care.
"When leaving, on our way here, I met a woman who told me that her town, Izyum, simply did not exist", Ana said. "Small towns are almost entirely destroyed. I hope our city won't be ruined, I want to come back to Ukraine. My mother lived there and so did I. I want to go home."
Your gift today means Project HOPE can move quickly to help communities in crisis -- and ensure health workers around the world have the resources they need to save lives.
Thank you for your continued support and attention during these difficult times,
Chris Skopec
Executive Vice President of Global Health
