More than 18,000 Texas were disenfranchised in the March election.

Ground Game Texas

The Republican voter suppression law in Texas is working as intended, friend.

It’s now reported that more than 18,000 Texas voters in just 16 counties were disenfranchised in the March primary election due to provisions in SB1. In some counties, more than 25% of mail in ballot applications were rejected under the new law.

Now more than ever, we must do everything we can to fight back against voter suppression. That’s why Ground Game Texas is working to register thousands of voters across the state and mobilize them to turnout in the upcoming 2022 midterms. But we need your help—can you pitch in $30 today to help us organize and fight back against voter suppression in Texas?

>> HELP US FIGHT BACK <<

Friend, we must keep pushing to pass federal voting rights and democracy reform legislation that would eliminate laws like SB1. If Republicans have their way, hundreds of thousands of voters will be disenfranchised, gerrymandered, and suppressed.

But we can’t wait for Washington to fight for Texans. We need to spend every day organizing across our state, expanding the electorate, and mobilizing voters behind progressive policies.

Ground Game Texas is organizing community-by-community, registering thousands of new voters and putting popular policies—from decriminalizing marijuana to tackling climate change—on the ballot. Our campaigns will help expand and electrify the electorate to turn out on Election Day in November.

Can we count on you to pitch in today to help us fight back against voter suppression? Every contribution helps us register new voters and pass progressive change at the local level.

Thank you,

-Julie
