What we've seen in Ukraine and throughout Eastern Europe these past three weeks has been absolutely devastating.
We've all seen the footage of civilians fleeing bombardment in Ukraine. We've seen families huddled in subway stations for safety, waiting in long lines for food and other supplies, and even carrying their pets with them as they cross the border.
There's no doubt that the past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for families uprooted by conflict in Ukraine. But as a compassionate supporter of the IRC, I know you care deeply about easing the burden for displaced and refugee families.
John, we're collecting uplifting messages from our supporters for families fleeing Ukraine as a small way to lift their spirits. We'll be sharing these notes with these families in the coming weeks, and I want to make sure you have an opportunity to voice your support in your words.
