** Restoring The Freedom To Vote for Justice-Involved Citizens in Tennessee ([link removed])

Individuals with past felony convictions deserve the freedom to vote and the opportunity to be full, active participants in our democracy. Unfortunately, Tennessee has the most convoluted, harsh and poorly managed rights restoration process of any state in the country. In a recent op-ed, CLC’s Restore Your Vote Advocate Gicola Lane and Dawn Herrington, executive director of Free Hearts, highlighted the case of Pamela Moses and the urgent need to reform the state’s voting rights restoration process.

In late February, CLC filed an application at the Tennessee Supreme Court to appeal the case of Ernest Falls, who has been denied the right to vote for failure to prove that he does not owe court costs related to a 1986 felony conviction in Virginia.

The Tennessee Supreme Court should take up this important case and protect Mr. Falls’ right to vote.

** VICTORY: Kansas Anti-voter Law Targeting Civic Engagement Groups Is Blocked Permanently ([link removed])
