Okay, John – bear with us as we explain the GOP’s new strategy – and why it could put fair redistricting in peril.

Recently, state Supreme Courts have ruled against gerrymandering Republicans and for fair maps in states across the country, from Wisconsin and Ohio to Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Republicans don’t like that one bit.

Instead of accepting fair or compromise maps, they’re taking a different approach: Trying to stack the courts to get the outcomes they want.

The Hill:
“GOP group pledges more spending on state Supreme Court races”

That group is an arm of the Republican State Leadership Committee, the same people that spearheaded the manipulation of the maps nationwide in 2011. If they’re successful in stacking state Supreme Courts with their lackeys, it could give the GOP carte blanche to gerrymander – with almost no recourse!

We can’t let it happen. The NDRC has plans to support candidates that support fair maps in 2022 – but with 32 states holding elections for seats on their highest courts, how much we can do depends on you.

Republicans are taking desperate measures to save their gerrymanders. We need your help to counter all of their gerrymandering efforts. Will you chip in now, John?
