I need to tell you about our next Justice Democrats primary, and ask you
to be a part of our next winning campaign.

Summer Lee is running in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District.
Redistricting just recently shook up this race and split Summer’s old
district in half. AND, a Republican-funded Super PAC called Democratic
Majority for Israel (DMFI) endorsed one of Summer’s opponents. DMFI ran
smear campaigns against Bernie and Jamaal Bowman in 2020.

Summer’s campaign is in a sprint towards her May 17 primary. And we’re
right there with her against the political establishment. Just yesterday,
Summer filed more than 7,000 petition signatures to get on the ballot —
thousands more than any other candidate in the primary.

Summer can win this race — she’s an organizer and a state representative
with a track record of fighting for her communities. But here’s the thing:
Nearly 90% of Congressional races are won by the candidate who spends more
money. Most recent data shows the fundraising numbers are close in this
primary.

Summer has a chance to fundraise more this quarter than her opponents —
even though she’s raising money only from the grassroots and NOT from
corporate PACs. Every single dollar counts right now, because of how much
this race has changed just in the last few weeks. With our support and the
support of grassroots donors like you, we can still win.

We’re helping Summer build a campaign that can win. Just like we’re doing
for Jessica Cisneros. Just like we did for Greg Casar this year, Cori and
Jamaal in 2020, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2018.

Wall Street, fossil fuel, and corporate PAC money will keep flowing to
opponents in our races. So, we’re relying on a flood of grassroots
donations — $5, $27, $50, whatever folks can afford — to win another
critical primary race.

The political establishment will do absolutely everything it can to stop
more Justice Democrats from winning a seat in Congress. Corporate
Democrats don’t want to see Summer and her support for Medicare for All
and a Green New Deal rise to Congress.
