The Building Trades are the SEVENTH major labor union to endorse our campaign for Governor. We have the support of unions representing thousands of scientists, engineers, construction workers, drivers, electricians, transit operators, health care workers, and more.
As AG, my team has recovered millions of dollars each year in wages for Massachusetts workers and penalized employers who tried to take advantage of their employees. We’ve sued Uber and Lyft for misclassifying drivers as independent contractors and denying them the pay and benefits they deserve. And we took on the Trump administration’s attempts to weaken protections for tipped, immigrant, domestic, and other vulnerable workers.
If we are going to build an economy where everyone can thrive, it starts with supporting our workers. Our state faces major challenges and opportunities when it comes to transitioning to a clean energy future, expanding workforce development opportunities, and investing in public transit and affordable housing. Labor must be a partner in how our state responds.
