Last month our Native Vote team collaborated with tribal leaders from across the state to create a video that shows what voting means to them. Tribal members from the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, Oneida Nation, Forest County Potawatomi, Ojibwe Bands, and many more nations stood in front of the camera and said why they vote. We know Native voters have a significant stake and power in elections, and by using our voices, we can elect leaders who will represent each of our best interests. Our team is proud to continue to build these partnerships and get out the Native vote for the spring and fall elections. So make sure to use your voice on April 5 by casting your ballot.

Make sure you have the voting information you need for the upcoming spring election on April 5:

• First, check to see if you’re registered to vote here. If you’re not registered, you can register in-person when you vote. Just make sure you have a proof of residence document for your registration and a valid photo ID to vote.
• Know what’s on your ballot. You can find a sample ballot on MyVote here. 
• If you plan to vote absentee, know that the rules changed for the April 5 election. To return your absentee ballot, you can return it from your own mailbox, drop it off in a U.S. Post Office collection box, or at your clerk's office. Be sure that you are returning your own ballot and not returning one for a friend or family member. Return your absentee ballots as soon as possible to allow plenty of time for mail delays. Contact your clerk for more information.
• You can also vote early as soon as March 22 (also called in person absentee voting). The early voting hours and dates vary by municipality. To find your early voting location, visit this link or call your municipal clerk. 
• You can also vote in person on Election Day on Tuesday, April 5. Make sure you bring a valid photo ID and know where your polling place is (your polling location may have changed this year). All polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
