I’m so excited to announce that I’ve officially filed my paperwork to run for re-election! I’m looking forward to getting back out on the campaign trail and hearing from the people I represent.

This year won’t be like my previous elections. After California concluded its redistricting process, I learned I will now be running to represent the newly drawn 12th congressional district. And now, our campaign is kicking into high-gear to face this new challenge.

But to be honest with you, the work our team does leading up to Election Day won’t just impact my race in California’s 12th district — we are building the framework to help Democrats win everywhere, up and down the ballot.

There’s a lot on the line this year as Democrats defend our slim majorities in Congress and face up against lofty GOP fundraising hauls.
