John,

I’m writing to ask you to make a $3 contribution ahead of this month's FEC fundraising deadline. Our online fundraising has dipped in recent weeks, so I wanted to shed some light on the impact that your support is having.

Despite how uncertain things have been, it's been a very productive week for the people of CA-49. Thanks to our efforts and advocacy, the sweeping appropriations bill that just passed in Congress will send $21.6 million to our district for community projects. Another $127 million will go to local military and veteran projects.

Here are a few of the critical projects that will kick off thanks to this bill:

» $10 million to stabilize the COASTER commuter rail along the Del Mar bluffs
» $20 million to Camp Pendleton for a new communications center
» $5 million for lighting and traffic circles in Carlsbad’s Barrio neighborhood
» $1.7 million for a hydrogen fueling station in Oceanside for 50 electric buses
» $2.25 million for a 50-bed homeless shelter in Oceanside

Make no mistake: This is a major victory for our district, and the truth is this may have never happened without your help keeping the House blue and flipping the Senate. We’d be naive to think this kind of progress will last without putting in more hard work in 2022.

Already the Republicans have added me to their list of “top House targets” to unseat in 2022, and we're facing a near-daily barrage of smears from our four opponents.

Will you help us get a head start on our FEC deadline by chipping in a donation today? Despite our progress, grassroots fundraising has been on the slower side lately, and just $3 will go a long way in helping us meet our goal.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

There’s much more progress to be made, John. At a time like this, we cannot slow down, and we cannot afford to lose the majority. That’s why this fundraising deadline is so important:

Please chip in $3 toward our FEC fundraising goal today >>

Thanks in advance,

Mike
