My name is Odessa Kelly. Today, I’m officially announcing a run to represent Tennessee’s 7th District in Congress.
Tennessee’s new congressional maps are proof that the people in charge don’t give a damn about democracy. These gerrymandered maps are what racism looks like when it’s not kneeling on George Floyd’s neck.

The new districts were drawn to silence our progressive movement and working class folks. But they don’t change the fact that all across the state, folks want universal health care, free daycare, less prisons, better jobs, and affordable housing.
The people who drew these maps don’t care that across this nation, people are struggling to make ends meet. They’re just worried about securing a bag for themselves — but we’re not going to make it easy for them.
I know we can win this race — but the only way we can compete is with YOU on our side. Imagine if we could get 200,000+ people in Tennessee and across the United States to join our movement. We’d be unstoppable. Hell, if even a small fraction of the people reading this email endorsed our campaign, that would be a good start.
