The Republican party and their allies are hard at work trying to take over some of the most powerful offices in our democracy: those of election administration. And they're doing it out in the open.
Donald Trump told a room full of Republican donors, "Sometimes the vote-counter is more important than the candidate." Steve Bannon is launching a podcast just dedicated to folks running for local office.
Our city and county election officials are our
first line of defense when it comes to ensuring safe, secure, and accessible elections. They're not easy jobs, but they are
so so important.
