Apologies for emailing you again, but unfortunately I don’t have the best news. I just got out of a meeting with my team and we’re falling short of our tonight’s mid-month fundraising goal.

I hate having to constantly send you emails like this. But my opponent outraised us last quarter, and has recently been endorsed by an extremely well-funded SuperPAC. So it’s critically important we hit all of our fundraising goals.

We have an incredible chance to win this race and defeat a Capitol Insurrectionist. I’d hate to see this race slip away because of a lack of funds.

So that’s why I have to ask: Will you chip in $5 today and help us raise $1,000 more before midnight?
