The 147 are hard at work praising Putin and undermining President Biden’s support of Ukraine's defense. It’s hard to imagine anyone could turn on the news and think Putin was the good guy, but The 147 don’t care who they have to cozy up with if it means there’s an opportunity to make Biden look weak.
The worst part is, it’s working.
According to FiveThirtyEight, this year, Republicans have expanded their average lead in the Congressional Generic Ballot from 0.8% to 2.2% today.
President Biden is in an impossible situation. He’s doing everything he can to support Ukrainian defense while avoiding an all-out nuclear conflict with Russia and mitigating the costs to the American economy. Meanwhile, The 147 continue to take cheap shots from the peanut gallery and filibuster Biden’s Federal Reserve appointees to sabotage our economy.
