This month we've had a lot of news regarding our race thrown at us -- from a new race rating from Inside Elections to news that extreme Republicans are gearing up to spend millions flooding the airwaves with negative ads in Kansas.
Our race is shaping up to be one of the closest governor's races in the country and all of the progress we've made could be under attack if we lose to our extreme opponent. It's no secret that if Derek Schmidt is elected he'll be nothing more than the second coming of Sam Brownback -- introducing policies that will destroy our economy, hurt our schools, and harm the middle-class.
We need a governor with practical solutions to help our state move forward. That's how I've approached my job the last four years -- taking approaches that have grown our economy, balanced our state's budget, and fully funded our schools.
But I'll be honest, winning in November won't be an easy task. This race could be anyone’s and we need to do everything in our power to ensure we win in November.
Our mid-month fundraising deadline is at midnight and hitting our $10,000 goal is a good first step to ensuring we can continue to grow our campaign team and spread my message to every Kansan in the state.
