Friend,
Today, I’m excited to announce that NextGen America is officially launching the largest youth organizing campaign in America for the 2020 election cycle.
Our path to victory for climate action, immigration reform, affordable health care, and other deeply felt social justice causes is by electing progressives into office. We have done the math and plan on targeting nearly five million of the hardest to reach voters between the ages of 18 to 35 in our efforts to win back the White House, flip the Senate, and build progressive majorities at the state level. Are you in?
Let us know you’re with us: Pledge to vote in the 2020 primaries: [link removed]
Over the last few years, we’ve seen what’s possible when we turn out and vote. With the help of our organizers, we’ve already chipped away at Donald Trump’s power by taking back the House of Representatives, winning governorships, and electing progressive legislators across the country -- but our work isn’t over.
Next year, young people will account for nearly 40% of all eligible voters. We’re counting on people like you to help us knock on doors, start conversations in our communities, and empower youth to be the decisive voice in this election. Over the course of the year, we aim to register at least 270,000 new young voters in our targeted states and make sure that they turn out in the primaries and in November.
This won’t be easy, but together, we can make history and take back our democracy by electing leaders who truly represent us.
