The Republican playbook for when they have power has been on full display in Virginia this year.

Virginia Republicans have tried to ban ballot drop boxes, shorten early voting periods, repeal a planned increase to the minimum wage, and roll back new common sense gun control laws.

National Republicans will try to do the same, and worse, if they retake the U.S. Senate in November.

We have to stop them. Chip in $5 to protect our Democratic majority in the Senate. [link removed]

Our setback in last November’s elections is having tough consequences for the progress we’ve made together in Virginia. Just the other day Republicans pulled Virginia out of the equal rights amendment which would have enshrined women’s equality in the U.S. constitution.

The Democratic-controlled state Senate here in Virginia has thankfully blocked many of these extreme policies. But it goes to show why we can’t take any risks of losing our Senate majority in Washington.

And our majority in the Senate is slim. If we lose just one seat in November, Mitch McConnell becomes majority leader again. And our efforts to improve the lives and livelihoods of every American will be in jeopardy.
