Dear John
Did you have a chance to send the UK Trade & Business
Commission report to your
MP?
We need to get it to them, so UK businesses can get out
there and trade freely and protect British jobs.
The UK Trade and Business
Commission released its annual report last week, outlining a roadmap
for the UK and EU to remove continued points of division and barriers
to trade. More important now than ever as both sides face massive
external economic and security challenges.
Yesterday, the Commissioners Hilary
Benn MP and Liz Saville-Roberts MP took part in a live panel session
about the report, chaired by Peter Foster of the Financial Times. You
can watch the full live session here, then send your email to your
MP:
The report sets out 21 concrete
interventions aimed at improving cooperation and trade between the UK
and our closest neighbours. Help us make sure every MP has a chance to
read the report and understand the recommendations.
We’re asking you to make sure
your MP acts on the report and encourages others to do the same. Will
you send a quick email to your MP highlighting the report to engage
them? You can craft a bespoke email at the click of a button with our
Hey MP tool:
Working as secretariat to the UK
Trade and Business Commission is a role we are truly proud of here at
Best for Britain. The Commission’s new report sets out clear ways we
can set the UK’s relationship with Europe back on the right track.
We’re not just booing Brexit from the sidelines, this report is an
essential and timely reminder that we can make things better for UK
businesses and consumers.
None of this would have been
possible without you - your tireless commitment to communicating with
your MPs, your willingness to put your name to important petitions,
your donations that enable our team to keep researching and
campaigning. We’re hugely grateful for all you have done.
Thank you,
Maheen Behrana
Senior Campaigns and Policy Officer, Best for
Britain
