Marco Rubio has already launched despicable attacks against me – and now, national Republicans are gearing up to launch an ad campaign targeting my 27 years as a law enforcement officer. 

Am I worried about these attacks? Absolutely, especially now that I'm falling short of my mid-month fundraising deadline with just hours to make up the difference. If I don't reach my goal tonight, I'm afraid I won't have enough resources to defend myself – and in a race that was decided by only 0.12% of the vote the last time around, that could spell disaster on Election Day.

I know that you're dedicated to protecting our Democratic Senate majority, and I'm so thankful for your support. But I'm facing a difficult battle, and I can't miss important deadlines like tonight's, so I have to ask for your help once again.
