John —
Today is Equal Pay Day, a symbolic day dedicated to raising awareness of the gender pay gap. This year, we’re “celebrating” on March 15th, which recognizes how long American women will have to work this year to catch up to what their male counterparts earned last year.
Yes, you read that right – that’s an extra two-and-a-half months! It’s time to demand equal pay for equal work.
House Democrats passed the Paycheck Fairness Act, which will eliminate gender-based pay discrimination. Now I’m calling on the Senate to do the same. Add your name to demand action on equal pay:

In 2021, White women earned just .83 cents for every dollar men make for the same work. This disparity is even greater for women of color — particularly Black and Latina women.
Although the Equal Pay Act – which passed 59 years ago – made it illegal for employers to pay less based on gender, the fight to close the pay gap continues today.
It’s time to close the wage gap and build an economy that works for all of us. I’ll always stand up for fairness for all of us in Congress. But I need to know if you’re standing with me.
Will you add your name and demand Congress take action to close the gender pay gap? Women deserve equal pay for equal work – join me in this fight today.

Thanks so much for making your voice heard today! We’ve got a whole lot of work ahead of us – but together, we can get the job done.
