I wanted to make sure you were up to speed on the latest in the Minnesota Governor’s race. It’s a crowded GOP field, and each challenger running to unseat Governor Walz is worse than the next. Here’s a quick recap of the leading candidates:

-Shamelessly spread misinformation about the severity of COVID-19 at the height of the pandemic
-Made a career out of advancing dangerous anti-LGBTQ legislation
-Leading the GOP charge to attack voting rights under the guise of Donald Trump’s Big Lie

Scott Jensen
-Notorious COVID-19 and anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist
-Endorsed Mike “The MyPillow Guy” Lindell’s unhinged election conspiracy theories
-Joined Capitol insurrectionists in a lawsuit to block the use of the COVID-19 vaccine in 12 to 15-year-olds

Rich Stanek
-Forced to resign from the administration of Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty after his repeated use of racial slurs came to light
-Faced multiple police-brutality lawsuits
-Record of opposing common-sense gun safety measures and paid family leave

Kendall Qualls
-Failed GOP congressional candidate
-Unsuccessfully tried to ride Donald Trump’s coattails to victory
-Pushing extreme Republican talking points in an attempt to divide Minnesotans

Minnesotans deserve honest leaders who will put people first, not right-wing demagogues whose primary goal is to divide us for their own political gain.
