Even though Paul LePage has been running for governor since last year, there are still a number of key questions he hasn’t answered.

Does LePage believe that President Joe Biden was legitimately elected in 2020? He won’t give a straight answer. Does LePage believe in climate change? He refuses to give specifics. Does LePage support a Texas-style bounty law to criminalize abortion? He hasn’t taken a stance.

These issues shape our politics every single day. Mainers deserve to know exactly where their elected officials stand. We shouldn’t have to guess when it’s our lives on the line.

While we might not know if LePage wants to arrest the parents of trans children who are just trying to do the best they can for their kids like Republicans in Texas, we do know where Janet Mills stands.

Throughout her time as Governor, we’ve never had to worry about what Janet Mills believes, because she’s worked hard to fight for it every day in office. She’s expanded voting rights, is combating climate change by investing in renewable energy, and has always protected abortion rights.
