I'll be blunt, John. I need you to donate $20, or whatever you can, toward our mid-month goal. It's a critical time for the NDRC. I'll explain why.
We're entering a new phase of the redistricting cycle. Most of the states have adopted their initial congressional maps (although there are some outliers, like Florida).
But there's still a lot of work to do: With our affiliates, the NDRC is defending fair maps and supporting voters in lawsuits against manipulated maps. We're holding Republicans accountable for the gerrymandering they've done. And, with the 2022 elections coming up, we are supporting candidates who will defend fair redistricting.
All this work will require no fewer resources than the previous phase. And as Republicans grasp at more and more extreme strategies to protect their gerrymanders, continued vigilance is necessary.
A.G. Holder told us to keep our guard up. We're taking that to heart – but none of this work can be done without your grassroots support.
So I hope I can count on you, John. The mid-month deadline hits tomorrow. Will you pitch in now to keep supporting our work to demand fair maps?
