John,

It's clear that the gun lobby will go to extreme lengths to allow more guns into more places—and enjoy more gun sales while they're at it. Now they're more unhinged than ever.

Moms Demand Action volunteers in Idaho are currently fighting a bill that would let people form militias and openly parade with firearms—including white supremacist militias. Missouri and several other states have passed laws that restrict state and local law enforcement officers from enforcing federal gun laws. And just in the past week, multiple state legislatures have advanced permitless carry bills despite strong opposition from constituents, community leaders, and law enforcement.

We're coming together as a movement to take on their extremism—and it's working. Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers are organizing in their communities every single day calling on lawmakers to support common-sense gun safety. In Florida and Georgia, Everytown has launched campaigns to repeal Shoot First laws where they were first championed by the NRA nearly two decades ago.

No matter what the gun lobby tries next, Everytown members will be ready to defend gun safety. Join our efforts to stop the gun lobby's extreme agenda by activating your 2022 Everytown Action Fund Membership today.
