John,
Finally, we get to give you a piece of good news: legislation to protect abortion access within Colorado law has passed in the Colorado House of Representatives!
Colorado successfully defeated 44 attempts to ban or restrict abortion at the General Assembly since 2010 and 4 attempts at the ballot box since 2008.
Last cycle, Colorado was one of our top priorities, and this news just illustrates why: this is what happens when we elect prochoice champions in state government.
John, help us elect even more prochoice champions to local and state governments not just in Colorado but across the country with a contribution of $15.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
The legislation in question is the Reproductive Health Equity Act, and it will ensure every individual has the fundamental right to choose or refuse contraception and that every individual who becomes pregnant has a fundamental right to choose to continue a pregnancy and give birth or to have an abortion.
Until the passage of RHEA, Coloradans have relied on the Constitutional protection of Roe and the federal courts. But we know that protection is waning.
Our mission at #VOTEPROCHOICE has always been to ensure that all people in America have full, unrestricted legal access to abortion and reproductive healthcare services that are safe, accessible, affordable, and respectful.
But to fulfill our mission, we need your help to elect leaders, like those in Colorado, who will put our bodily autonomy first. Help us do that with a gift of any size.
Thank you for standing with us,
#VOTEPROCHOICE
