My name is Kirsten Engel and I'm a Democrat running to replace retiring Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick in Arizona's Sixth Congressional District.

I'm running for Congress because I'm tired of watching our families struggle. Like so many Arizonans, I know what it's like to balance work and being a parent -- and the pandemic has only made this balance even more challenging.

In Congress, I'll use my experience as a University of Arizona law professor, an environmental attorney, a former state legislator, and a working mom to help Arizona's families and small businesses.

As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, we need to build an economy that works for everyone and invest in critical infrastructure that will create good-paying jobs.

Arizona has no future without a sustainable water supply, and it's past time that we tackle the climate and water crisis threatening our future. We also need to lower the cost of healthcare, protect reproductive rights, and safeguard our fundamental right to vote.
