In a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a donation to help me defend this Senate seat. But first, let me explain why this request really matters. 

As you may know, my 2016 Senate election was one of the closest in history. I won by 1,017 votes and unseated a Republican incumbent in the most expensive Senate race New Hampshire had ever seen.

And now, the full force of the GOP is coming back to New Hampshire to flip this toss-up seat red and take back the Senate majority. Mitch McConnell and his dark money allies have already spent over $7.5 million attacking me – more than they've spent against any other Senate Democrat up for reelection. 

We can't match the Republican mega-donors and their million-dollar checks – but we can show the strength of our campaign with people like you chipping in $5 or more whenever you can.

But recently, our grassroots donations have tapered off – leaving our campaign vulnerable to GOP attacks. And with our mid-month deadline just around the corner, I'm starting to get worried. 

That's why I'm asking: Please, can you donate $5 before our deadline expires on Tuesday? The amount isn't as important as the donation itself, and I could really use your support.
