“Climate change effects are outpacing our ability to adapt”
-UN IPCC Report, March 2022
|
Team,
In 2020, the United States experienced a record-smashing 22 climate disasters that each resulted in over $1 billion in damages – proving we’re already paying a massive price for climate change.
And in the latest report from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), they issued a stark warning: If we delay action to cut emission and fight climate change any longer, we “will miss a brief and rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all.”
Still, a significant number of Republicans in Congress do not accept climate science and refuse to take legislative action to protect the future of our planet. We can't afford to let climate deniers gain control of Congress — can you rush a donation to NewDems to help us hold the House? It’s time to pass an ambitious (and meaningful) climate agenda!

As a Co-Chair of the NewDems Climate Change Task Force, our priorities are clear: We want to get America to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 by investing in green technology, creating clean energy jobs, and shifting our country away from our reliance on fossil fuels.
With a mandate from the American people to tackle this existential threat before it’s too late and a science-affirming President and majorities in the House and Senate, we have a window for action and a moral responsibility not to let it pass us by.
We can’t risk losing our Democratic Majority this fall – the future of our planet is on the line. Can you donate to help us hold the House so we don’t lose another minute on this ambitious (and meaningful) climate agenda?
Thank you,
Sean Casten (IL-06)
