As you can see it’s been pretty up and down, and we’re currently in a fundraising slump. We can’t afford to have our fundraising numbers keep stagnating.
We’re a scrappy, grassroots campaign and we don’t take a dime of fossil fuel or corporate PAC money. As of today, we’re officially 50 days away from our primary election — but even more urgently, there are just 22 days until the start of early voting when Ohioans will start casting their ballots. Now more than ever, it’s absolutely critical that we have a steady stream of small-dollar donations coming in.
The reality of our situation is that unlike our opponents, we don’t have the establishment donors or huge corporations propping up our campaign. If we don’t quickly close our fundraising gap, we’ll have to cut back on our budget – which means cutting back on our plans to train more volunteers, knock more doors, buy lit for our organizing program, and more.
Morgan doesn’t spend her time attending fancy fundraising galas. She would much rather spend her time traveling across Ohio and connecting with voters where they’re at. We’re proud to run our campaign the right way, but that means we’re depending on you, John.
