This Month in Labor History
Mar. 23-24, 1974: Following months of discussion and planning, more than 3,000 union women from across the U.S. convened in Chicago, IL to form an organization to address the critical needs of millions of unorganized working women and make unions more responsive to the needs of all working women. The organization they created was the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW).
