Submit
your intentions to Our Lady of Fatima
Dear Friend,
A couple of weeks ago, I introduced
you to Alex and Angela, students at St. Joseph’s Academy, in San
Marcos, California, who will be traveling, along with other students
and chaperones, to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal, a sacred place,
where prayers are answered.
They have been reciting their novena prayers and Holy Rosaries in
preparation for a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage
to Fatima and
will depart this Saturday, March 19,
the Solemnity of St. Joseph.
I want to remind you that
Alex and Angelina have
graciously volunteered to say prayers daily,
including Holy Rosaries, spend time in Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament, as well as the Stations of the Cross, during the nightly
processions and to offer their Holy Communions, throughout the
pilgrimage, for all of the intentions that you will submit.
The students, along with their
classmates and chaperones, have an exciting and enriching itinerary.
They will not only spend precious time with Our Lady of Fatima at her
Sanctuary, including the Basilica of the Rosary, praying for your
intentions, but they will also bring them to the Cathedral, the
Geronimos Monastery, as well as the home of St. Anthony of Padua, then
pray before the Eucharistic Miracle in Santarem, and much
more...
Now is the time to submit (or update) your
intentions that will be included throughout
the Fatima Pilgrimage:
Catholic youth are the future
of our church. Would you keep all of the students in your prayers as
they set out to witness the power of incredible faith
in Fatima?
The Sanctuary
of Our Lady of Fatima is the location of the most significant Marian
apparition of the 20th century. Come in spirit with Alex and
Angelina, as they will be carrying your intentions throughout the
pilgrimage.
Yours in Jesus and Mary,
Thomas McKenna
