The data tells a very clear story:

-Marie has equal standing with her opponent even after a series of attacks against her from special interests – and before we've gone up on TV to make our case to voters
-Voters are looking to elect a strong Democrat who's committed to fighting for progressive values
-If Marie – a proud product of Chicago's Southwest Side and a proven progressive – can get her message through on the ground and on the airwaves, she can take a clear lead

Marie took on and defeated an anti-choice and anti-Obamacare incumbent in 2020 – even though the local political machine wanted her to sit down and be silent. She's built a strong record in Congress advocating for universal healthcare, stronger unions, historic investments in clean and renewable energy, and equal access for all communities.

She's committed to progressive policies and fights every day for an economy that works for everyone. This is the message we plan to drive home as voters make their choice in IL-06.

But that message will get drowned out if our opponent (who's taken $700,000 from corporations since 2019) can overwhelmingly outspend us. That's why fundraising goals have to be met.
