The Employment Situation of Immigrants and the U.S.-Born in the Fourth Quarter of 2021 ([link removed])
By Steven A. Camarota and Karen Zeigler
CIS Report, March 14, 2022
Excerpt: An analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Current Population Survey (CPS) shows that while the official unemployment rate for both the U.S.-born and immigrants has fallen significantly, it remains higher than before Covid. But perhaps most important, the labor force participation rate — the share of working-age (16-64) people holding a job or looking for one — remains near historic lows.

Beware: Mexico To Unleash Massive Wave of 70,000 Migrants Toward U.S. Border in Unnoticeable ‘Ant Operation’ ([link removed])
By Todd Bensman
Townhall, March 14, 2022
Excerpt: Mexico has been blocking migrant forward movement under an agreement with the Biden administration as a kind of artifice that makes mass migration numbers at the American Southwest Border seem less than if Mexican just waved them all through. But instead, the agreement with Biden has Mexico using its National Guard to block roads out of Tapachula while requiring migrants to apply for Mexican humanitarian visas necessary to proceed unchecked north to the American border.
The Biden Admin Released A Suspected Terrorist Into The United States After He Illegally Crossed The Border ([link removed])
By Todd Bensman
The Federalist, March 4, 2022
Excerpt: Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., ranking member of the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, penned the request to subcommittee Chair Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, in part on grounds that “There is no known case in which a foreign national who pinged on a terror watch list was simply released on his own recognizance. The facts in the case strongly suggest that the Biden Administration failed to follow appropriate protocols with respect to suspected terrorists.”

Biden Admin Announces Yet Another Plan to Gut Immigration Enforcement ([link removed])
By Jon Feere
The Biden administration has announced that it will further limit the ability of the nation’s immigration law enforcement officers to carry out their public safety mission by gutting the use of expedited removal. Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson blocked the Trump administration’s use of expedited removal in 2019 before being reversed by the D.C. Circuit.

Illegal Migrants Surge through the ‘Yuma Gap’ ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
There are too few agents to stop migrants and smugglers from crossing through the large gap in the border wall at Yuma, few if any state authorities there to take up the slack, and no checkpoint to stop their movement into the interior. The Sinaloa cartel, which controls the other side of the border, could not have planned it better.
More Negative News About EB-5 and Victimized Chinese Millionaires ([link removed])
By David North
There is more news this week about the ways and devious means through which fraudsters have separated alien investors (mostly Chinese) from their EB-5 (immigrant investor) money and how the federal courts have coped — or not — with these cases
