Hi John,
Have you ever stopped to help a stranger with their shopping bags? Or given up your seat for someone on the train? These simple acts of kindness are what make us human.
As trained search-and-rescue volunteers, Sarah and Seán were doing just that – helping strangers who found themselves in a dangerous situation. They risked their own lives to save people making the perilous journey across the sea to Greece.
For this they ended up behind bars for 100 days – charged with spying, people smuggling and belonging to a criminal organisation. After months of campaigning, they were released on bail at a price of 5,000, Euro but the charges against them still stand. This is unacceptable. Will you email Greece and demand that all charges against Sarah and Seán are immediately dropped?
