Friend, we know what you’re thinking — who actually celebrates Pi Day? It’s not a federal or state holiday and how many more digits actually come after 3.14159265359…..

Well, as a former high school social studies teacher, middle school principal, University of Maryland college professor, and President Obama’s Secretary of Education, John King loves any day that gives cause to celebrate a love for learning. 

And here on Team King, we think it’s a great day to point out how great it would be to elect a teacher as Maryland’s next governor!

​​The great thing about a teacher as governor is that teachers know how to listen, build relationships, and see each student as a whole person with unique needs. Isn’t that how a governor should think?
