** Health Justice
------------------------------------------------------------
This month, our Health Justice newsletter explores movements and strategies for transforming systems designed to benefit few and exclude most—into structures that promote access and inclusion. First, Dana Brown examines our broken for-profit healthcare system and urges us to imagine a world where drugs are designed to promote clinical benefits—not profit gained by putting those in need in astronomical debt. Next, we look at the importance of person-centered disability rights and why language matters for creating inclusive policies and practices. We then hear from a physical therapist pioneering a racial equity program in her field on what must be done to achieve racial justice in healthcare, and why this work is so important. Lastly, we turn to an account of how grassroots nonprofits in Wuhan, China responded to aid those most marginalized as COVID-19 threatened the health of systems and individuals.
